Welcome to the Global Young Musicians Competition (GYMC).
The objective of this initiative is to identify and provide exposure to talented musicians on a global scale. This will afford them the opportunity to receive concerts, scholarships for development and to present themselves to the community.
The GYMC invites classical musicians from all over the world – instrumental soloists, vocalists, composers and chamber ensembles – to participate.
The competition consists of two stages: Preliminary Round and Final Round.
The preliminary selection process, which is free of charge, represents an opportunity for all participants to demonstrate their abilities in a new competitive setting.
With a two stage formula, where the preliminary round is free, we believe we are reducing the financial risk associated with entering without the guarantee of a prize. This ensures that all entrants who make it through to the final will receive a prize.
To register for the competition, applicants are required to upload a video to YouTube (or similar platforms) and complete the application form.
Competition Schedule:
• until 20 August 2024: Accepting free applications
• 21-25 August: Preliminary Round
• 25 August: Results of the Preliminary Round and sending emails to all the participants.
• 26-30 August: Applications for the Final Round
• 1-7 September: Final Round
• 8 September: Results of the Competition
